Fire Safety Parking, Stopping and Standing  Blocking an Intersection or Roadway
It is never ok to park less than 10 feet from a fire hydrant or in a fire lane. Emergencies could happen at any time and emergency crews may need space to work or access buildings.     In Greater Napanee you must make sure your vehicle is parked far enough back from an intersection to provide vehicles the ability to safely pass through. That means 25ft back from a regular intersection and 100feet back from an intersection with traffic lights. You must also take care to not block the roadway with your car. Ensure traffic has adequate room to get by.

Exemptions to the Parking By-Law can be issued by the Town if certain criteria are met by the applicant.

By-law 2022-0037 amended the Parking By-law to allow for temporary encroachments into the municipal right-of-way when preparing a recreational vehicle for active use or storage.
