County Road 10 is closed to thru traffic between Buttermilk Falls Road and Enright Road until further notice due to a fallen tree that has taken down hydro lines.

Cemetery Closure

Riverside Cemetery is closed to vehicles and pedestrians until further notice due to the threat of falling tree limbs.

Significant Weather Event Declared Effect March 28, 2025, at 12:00 pm

The Town of Greater Napanee has declared a significant weather event effective March 28, 2025, at 12:00 pm as defined within the Minimum Maintenance Standards O.Reg. 239/02.

During the significant weather event, the Town is advising motorists and pedestrians to use extra caution as the municipality may not be able to meet its maintenance standards for roads, bike lanes, and sidewalks due to the freezing rain expected.

The declaration will not change how or when the municipality performs its winter maintenance operations. However, it may take the municipality longer than usual to bring the roads and sidewalks back to a state of repair. Public safety is the municipality’s top priority.

The Town of Greater Napanee will update the public with information during this significant weather event via our social media pages and website.

Public Notice: Spring Cemetery Cleanup

Cemetery staff will be conducting a spring cleanup starting on April 15, 2025. We kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring our cemeteries remain a respectful and peaceful place for all visitors.
Date: April 15, 2025
Location: All Active Municipal Cemeteries
Please keep the following in mind:
  • Removal of Decorations: All flowers, decorations, and other items left at gravesites must be removed prior to April 15, 2025, to facilitate cleaning and maintenance.
  • Clean-Up Activities: The cleanup will include the removal of debris, leaf clearing, lawn maintenance, and general tidying.
  • Items Left Behind: Any items not collected by prior to April 15, 2025, that are not presentable (items that are fading, falling apart, discolored), will be disposed of by cemetery staff to allow for proper maintenance.
