County Road 10 is closed to thru traffic between Buttermilk Falls Road and Enright Road until further notice due to a fallen tree that has taken down hydro lines.

Cemetery Closure

Riverside Cemetery is closed to vehicles and pedestrians until further notice due to the threat of falling tree limbs.

Significant Weather Event Declared Effect March 28, 2025, at 12:00 pm

The Town of Greater Napanee has declared a significant weather event effective March 28, 2025, at 12:00 pm as defined within the Minimum Maintenance Standards O.Reg. 239/02.

During the significant weather event, the Town is advising motorists and pedestrians to use extra caution as the municipality may not be able to meet its maintenance standards for roads, bike lanes, and sidewalks due to the freezing rain expected.

The declaration will not change how or when the municipality performs its winter maintenance operations. However, it may take the municipality longer than usual to bring the roads and sidewalks back to a state of repair. Public safety is the municipality’s top priority.

The Town of Greater Napanee will update the public with information during this significant weather event via our social media pages and website.

Public Notice: Proposed Change to Certain Municipal Fees for Service

Council will consider a bylaw to update certain Municipal Fees for Service at the April 22, 2025, regular meeting of Council. The meeting will be held in person at 124 John Street and will be livestreamed on the Town’s YouTube channel. 

The proposed fee change will remove the hourly rental rate for the Fire Training Facility and replace it with an annual fee only available to mutual aid partner organizations. 

Any written comments regarding the proposed fees may be directed to Jessica Walters, Clerk, at 343-302-5238 or jwalters@greaternapanee.com prior to 12:00 pm noon on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. All written comments will be presented to Council for consideration.
