What is Giveaway Day: Giveaway Day is a great opportunity to de-clutter and find a new home for any unwanted items while also picking up something you may want or need for free! Keep gently used items out of the landfills by allowing others to re-use or up-cycle them.
Registration for Giveaway Day closes on April 25, 2025, at 12:00 pm.
Here's what you need to know to participate in Giveaway Day:
- Residents are required to register by completing this form to have their location added to the event listing on the website.
- Items are to be placed curbside by 7:00 am.
- Unclaimed items must be removed by 7:00pm on the same day and remain the residents responsibility.
- Clearly label your items as free. Ensure any items that you do not want taken are kept away from the curb.
- Greater Napanee will NOT be collecting unclaimed items.
- Respect other people's property - do not walk on people's lawns or gardens.
- Take only items that are marked "FREE" and placed at the curb.
- Do not leave previously picked-up items on the curb at other people's property.
Appropriate Items: Gently used items that can be included in Giveaway Day are books, CD's, DVD's, furniture, small appliances, kitchen gadgets, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, sporting goods, outdoor items, electronics, construction/renovation materials, tools, etc.
Items that should not be given away or picked up: Baby walkers, cribs, car seats, strollers, playpens, bath seats, mattresses, blinds, and toys.
