Building Construction

Our Building and Planning Departments provide a wide range of advisory and regulatory services pertaining to land use matters and the enforcement of the Ontario Building Code and some Municipal By-laws. These Departments are responsible for the review and administration of applications for planning and building approvals.

The Building and Planning Departments work together to make your development project as smooth and seamless as possible while maintaining the best interests of the community. Staff strive to provide exceptional service and advice to Council, the public, developers, and the building industry.

The Planning Department answers zoning requests for the Municipality, which include written responses to solicitors and financial institutions when ownership of a property is transferring, and/or for mortgage purposes.
